We're Fandom Musicals, a musical theater group from Toronto, Canada, and this summer we're going to be performing our first musical theater project called "Fandom Hearts." It's a parody musical based on the first game in the Kingdom Hearts series by Disney and Square. Because it's our first show, we're raising the neccesary funds for our project through the crowdfunding website IndieGoGo. The funds will go towards the rental of the Terragon Theater, and all our costumes and props.
The show follows the story of a young boy, Sora, who is given the power of a mysterious weapon. When his home is destoryed by Darkness, and his friends taken from him, he sets out with various Disney characters to rid the worlds of Darkness, and save the friends he loves. The show features 17 original songs, and characters from the game that fans love.
Kingdom Hearts has been a series for over 10 years, and as a group of fans, we thought it best to do something special for the game that has given us new friends, online and offline, and even brought some of us out of our shell. Our show has 13 performers who are working many jobs at once just to put this show together. Some are playing multiple characters, others creating the costumes, some doing the chroeography, others managing our online presence.
We've already built up a small fanbase online from uploading videos of our rehearsals and song performances. Because we're trying to reach our goal of almost $5000 for this online campaign, we'd love it if you can share this link to the campaign:

You'll know that it's going to support creative independent theater projects like this, with the hopes that we can continue to bring amazing, inventive musicals like this to the Toronto area.
If there's anything else you can help do for our show, such as share links, videos, or even just word of mouth, it would be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, or would like more information about our show, please email us at

Thank you so much for you time, and hope to hear from you soon.
